2003-2004 Contest Information

Photos taken from the Awards Ceremony are now available.

The contest submission deadline was December 6, 2003.

There will be cash awards to the top essayists in New Jersey that will be presented by Governor McGreevey at the Governor’s Mansion. State first-place winners will advance for national judging.

New Jersey Judges are:

Level I

  1. Lucille Davy, Special Counsel - Education, Office of the Governor
  2. Eleanor Horne, Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Educational Testing Service
  3. Bev Gallagher, New Jersey Teacher of the Year, 2001
  4. E.B. Lewis, Award winning children’s author and lecturer

  2. Amy Hill Hearth, Journalist, Lecturer, New York Times Best-Selling Author
