National Book Festival

Modern Day Pilgrim Project"

Renee Swartz, Chair and Coordinator, of the New Jersey Center for the Book, represented New Jersey at the National Book Festival of the Library of Congress, October 12-13, 2002. For it she selected the memorable children's character from the book Molly's Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen (formerly of Winter Hill, New Jersey) to represent New Jersey.

Sue Rardin, School Media Specialist, created a clothespin doll project in support of this selection. Additional contributions to this project will be accepted throughout the school year and will be exhibited at a spring reception at Drumthwacket.
