Mary Jane Kurabinski, Director, Office of Language Arts Literacy, New Jersey Department of Education, gave an inspiring address to the 75 student finalists from the almost 3,000 entries from the state of New Jersey in the essay contest Letters About Literature was held on Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Winants Hall, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
